Spinal mobilityDigestionCore
A deep twist that wrings out the spine and strengthens the standing leg.
How to
- From Low Lunge with the right foot forward, bring the hands to prayer at the chest.
- Twist to the right and hook the left elbow outside the right knee.
- Press the palms together to lever the chest open; lengthen the spine on each inhale.
- To deepen, plant the left hand on the mat and reach the right arm to the ceiling.
- Unwind slowly and repeat on the other side.
Tips
- Keep the back knee down until the twist feels stable.
- Twist from the mid-back, not the neck — the gaze follows last.
- Cork grips better as your palm warms up, so press firmly through the bottom hand.
